This band is the perfect blend for our tasting room.
Sometimes mellow and laid back and at other times
rockin’ to get the crowd up and dancing. The vocal
harmonies are as good as it gets.

Martie
Echito

Band%2BBros%2B2018-84.jpg

Starting in high school rock bands in the late 60's, Martie went on to full road tours in a show band in the early 70's. The late 70's - 80's were spent in L.A. doing session work (including work for Stephen Stills, Spell-bound, Clifford T. Ward, Savoy, Randy McNeil, Rick Dees, Cecilio & Kapono..), along with recording his own work (an album on Polydor with a band called Waves, produced & engineered by Bill Halverson who worked with Crosby Stills & Nash, Stephen Stills, Cream & Bill Withers).

Martie has had a co-publishing deal with CBS (April Music) in the late 70's, song placements in two Amazon series (“Red Oaks” & “An American Girl Story-Ivy & Julie 1976”), a song placement on a Robert Redford movie on Netflix called “The Discovery”, two episode placements in a Showtime series called “I’m Dying Up Here”, a Hulu Marvels series, and a series on Epix called “The Truth About The Harry Quebert Affair”.

Martie has recently moved to Cambria from Southern California. He still performs occasionally with a Classic Rock band called The Ravelers, which has been together for 31 years, another band he performs with down south is the 3-piece acoustic guitar/vocal trio called Dynamite Dawson, and an 8-piece acoustic band doing all Beatles music called The Fab 8, and, finally, the Earls of Tuesday up on California’s Central Coast.

Alex
Kizanis

Band+Bros+2018-111.jpg

Alex Kizanis plays keyboards and mandolin with the Earls of Tuesday.

He got his musical start with lessons in classical piano at the age of five. By the time he was fourteen he was playing professionally.  His high school band had a song in the top 50 on the Billboard charts and was opening concerts with bands like The Turtles, Strawberry Alarm Clock and others with Wolfman Jack as the emcee. Alex moved to San Luis Obispo in the early 70’s where he joined a band called Zipper, and did a six month east coast tour. He then moved on to a band called Straight on Till Morning, an acoustic foursome with great harmonies.  They were the house band at local clubs and were the opening act for several big shows. His next move was playing with the Salsa Brava band, a very popular local country rock band doing covers and original music. In 1981 he joined current Earls of Tuesday band mate Chet Hogoboom in a group called Chester. After that, Alex formed a band called Pier Pressure; the house band at Olde Port Inn on the end of the Avila Pier.  He also had a long time collaboration with Spike that lasted 14 years playing a variety of cover material.

Alex has done a great deal of session work over the years and continues to play with several local bands when a keyboardist is needed. His style is unmistakable; ranging from beautiful mellow piano playing to a rockin’ barrelhouse style piano and organ. He is a gifted and entertaining player and performer.

KATHY
HORNBAKER

At a young age, Kathy’s years were filled with Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Violin. That led to a career as a professional performer, choreographer, and a 4 year tour of the US and Canada in two different show bands as a dancer and bass player. Once home, she continued to hone her bass skills in several cover bands. Always eager for a new challenge, she entered the holistic health field as a Chiropractor, running her own practice for 23 years. After retiring, she migrated to Cambria, CA and was grateful when the “Earls of Tuesday” asked her to join the band, which gave her the opportunity to once again pursue her love of music.
