ALBUM - BACKROADS (2019)

This album is so good! It’s truly a kickback, relax, musical journey. The world is missing this type of music; the song structure and, best of all for me, the lyrics and vocals. I have listened to it in it’s entirety twice in the 12 hours I’ve owned it. I give this record 5 stars.

Great songs, harmony, vocals and top notch musicianship…

Earls of Tuesday is a trio of singer/songwriters that started getting together on Tuesday nights separate from their other music endeavors. They were so energized with the collaboration that they decided to record and release an album of their material, and start playing live together as well. Mr. Chet C.T. Hogoboom, on guitar and vocals, and Alex Kizanis, on keyboards and vocals, are both longtime fixtures on the Central California Coast music scene. A timely move from Los Angeles up to the Central Coast by multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist, Martie Echito completed the trio. This album is an eclectic mix of folk-rock, country-rock, pop and soul. If you like variety in your playlist this album is for you.

Every track takes you in an interesting and inviting direction -
The mellow country picking feel of the title track, Backroads :: the country rock of South Carolina Rain, Unless You’re Here With Me and Out Into the Light :: the rock and soul feel of The Way You Talk and Never the Right Time :: the ethereal sound of Mistress of the Heart :: the Cali grooves in Big Sur Morning and Beachcomber :: the jazzy international sounds on Tangiers.

Add in the exceptional background vocals of Nicole Stromsoe and the overall package is a delight for listeners.

This album is available at Boo Boo Records in San Luis Obispo, online at iTunes and CDBaby, and, of course, the best place to get your copy is in person at a live performance!
